I can’t really call myself a photographer any more. I guess Photo-illustrator is more appropriate.
With the advent of all things AI, simply pressing the shutter button on my camera does not insure an original unmanipulated file;
even my camera manipulates the files stored on the memory card.

Don’t get me wrong here. Retouching photographs has been a must for portrait photographers for over a hundred years.
Dario Cornaro taught me how to retouch black and white negatives with different grades of graphite pencils to remove imperfections or add back sharpness to certain regions of the image.
Today modern software does all that for us almost instantaneously.

However the question still remains; Ethically; How far can I go and still remain credible?
